Reunited: Joshua and his Trek

A few weeks ago, a young woman named Phoenix Res stopped a bike theft. When we came across the story, we offered to help Phoenix reunite the bike with its owner through our network of industry folks.

The owner? Joshua Deal, who had converted to biking to help save money on transit costs in preparation for his upcoming wedding. From the NYDN:

Cobble Hill resident Joshua Deal’s eyes lit up as Bedford Stuyvesant cyclist Pheonix Res presented him with the missing $760 bike he thought he’d never see again.

“You’re my hero,” said Deal, 29, a nurse in the burn unit at Cornell Medical Center told Res. “Everyone I’ve told this story to said, ‘Really? That happened?’ It’s a miracle on Joralemon St.”

It’s encounters like this that make our day.
