New on the East River

If you ride over the Manhattan Bridge, you’ll enjoy the view just north of the bridge of the colorful new “Watertower” sculpture from Tom Fruin.

Made of one thousand of pieces of locally-found plexiglass, the view adds a fun splash of color to the East River ride.

Wow, this is so cool! Great photo too, did you take it? Do you know if this is a permanent sculpture? Thanks for a great post!

P.s. I just linked to Tom Fruin’s page – thanks for including that!

I look forward to passing this! What a clever and modern way to use stained glass in urban renewal projects.
