A few events coming up this February that have our hearts aflutter. What could we love more than bikes and tasty treats?

Feb 11: Valentine-Themed Ride and Party

Times Up wants you to Love Your Lane

On February 11th, the folks over at Times Up are hosting a Valentine’s “Love Your Lane” ride through the city. Love Your Lane is their newest ride organized to support the evolution of our city to a more bike-friendly metropolis. For February, the ride (with two route options, from both the Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridges) culminates in a “Love Your Lane” party at the Living Theater on Clinton Street. If good drinks and a live DJ isn’t your thing, we’re pretty sure the chocolate body painting they mention on the Facebook event page will keep you entertained.

Hot chocolate. Every day of the month.

City Bakery wants you to love your chocolate

Speaking of chocolate, our bike-loving friends at City Bakery are getting ready to host their infamous Hot Chocolate Festival through the month of February. February 1 kicks off with Banana Peel; each day will launch an exclusive flavor du jour. We’ve also heard rumor that January 31 (update: January 30th!) might feature a special marshmallow concoction. Owner Maury Rubin sure knows how to warm our hearts. Stop in for the hot chocolate – but stay for lunch: City Bakery and its local Birdbath Bakeries offer cyclists a 25% off discount with proof of helmet.

With all of this fun (and more to come!), February has never looked so sweet.
